It’s no secret that I love crafts. Aside from showcasing one’s artistic ability, to me, handmade crafted items also show someone’s time and effort that went into creating something special that will bring joy to another person.
Whether it’s working on projects with my kidlets or sitting down all by myself to knit – PS I’m a master scarf maker! – crafting is a fun world to escape into from time to time!
So it was a treat to find a package from Spellbinders® in my mailbox to try. For the uninitiated crafter, Spellbinders is a papercrafts company that offers beautiful collections of dies & stamps sets, papers and inks.
They just introduced a line called Celebra’tions™ Collection by Richard Garay. Personally, I think it’s quite the clever collection. Every very element in it is coordinated – from the paper to the stamps, to the inks and accessories – to work together perfectly. It was specifically designed to help others achieve beautiful results every single time. It’s super easy to create one-of-a-kind cards, gifts, scrapbook layouts and more. There’s no more guessing in what materials to use or what patterns/styles/embellishments would look best together.
The Celebra’tions Collection kit I was sent included two different craft projects to try.
The first one I tacked was the “Celebrate Party Hat Card.” The kit came with all the pieces I needed to create an adorable card that could be used for birthday parties, graduation or even a note to celebrate good news.
Within minutes, using the pre-cut pieces and following simple instructions of folding, layering and gluing, this is what I was able to create:
Not bad, right? It looks like a professionally made card! My favorite part of the card is the flower, I love how it pops out at you.
The second project was the “Best Day Ever Treat Bag.” Just like with the card kit, it came with everything I needed from start to finish.
All it took were a couple of quick cuts with a pair of scissors, some glue, string and some sweet treats tucked inside for the kidlets, and I had this:
This is a super easy craft to make goody bags for a birthday party or even a favor for baby/bridal shower. The custom tag gives it a personal and homey feel – rather than some run of the mill pre-packaged baggie.
