Memorial Day Weekend was filled with family, friends, BBQs and of course parades. In fact, my kidlets love parades so much that we went to two of them! We forgot to bring the camera for our own town parade, but here’s parade #2 of the weekend in a nearby town:
My lil’ patriot, waving her American flag so proudly waiting for the parade to start.
My other lil’ patriot with an even bigger flag came fully prepared with both a snack & ice cold water bottle.
Who can resist a shiny red fire engine?
My daughter making sure that I didn’t miss seeing the fire engines!
There were lots of “old fashioned,” as my son calls them, cars in beautiful conditions and with crazy horns that they honked for the kidlets.

Thanks, she’s so stylish and loves sunglasses. I’m surprised though that she has them on the right way, she usually wears them all upside down. She’s apparently trying to start a new trend!

Everyone loves those chairs! Got them for the beach at Dick’s Sporting Goods…they even have a cup holder built into the armrest!

I love a good parade. Have always enjoyed them. Love the kids’ chairs with the covers. I’ll have to look into one of those for my little one.

I had two moms who were marching with their daughter’s Girl Scout troops ran over and asked me about those chairs too. I got them at Dick’s Sporting Goods if you have that where you are. They are perfect for the beach which is why I bought them….

Ahhh. . . love the pics! Reminds me so much of growing up in a small town in the middle of Nebraska ~ nothing like the small home town feeling and wonderful parades that we grew up with! Thanks for bringing up some wonderful memories for me! Happy WW!
I love the small, hometown feel of these parades….the entire town comes out and you see people you haven’t seen in ages. Everyone has a smile on their face….parades are great!

we would have gone to more if the start times had been staggered a bit more. We don’t really do 4th of July parades in our neck of NJ so I have to get it in now!
