In my opinion, moms are totally awesome. Now you may be thinking I’m a little biased since as my blog states, I am the “Harried Mom,” but I too have an awesome mom! I learned so much from my mom growing up, but there are many things I didn’t truly appreciate until I became a mom myself. So Mother’s Day is a big deal in my house, even bigger than my birthday, since it’s all about appreciation and honoring the woman who loves you like no other, who brought you into this world and looks after you!
It had been a while since my pal Lisa from Mom a la Mode and I got together to do a new “Show and Tell with Deb & Lisa” vlog and thought, Mother’s Day Gifts would be a great one to do. I mean, we’re both moms and we love getting gifts, so we’re technically experts on the topic! None of the items we feature will break your bank, but will make your mom feel like the most spoiled gal on the planet. Check it out:
Deidreamers Minimalist jewelry for the maximum chic. Features all silver, handmade, hand polished made in the USA (another Jersey company, WOO HOO!) earrings, bracelets and necklaces – like the MOM one featured in the video. Right now they’re mostly available in jewelry stores and boutiques in NJ and NY, but you can also find them at veryhoney.com
atlantic avenew – Founded by a team of New Jersey natives (As a Jersey girl myself, “HOLLA!”), atlantic avenew specializes in handcrafted soy candles in hand-painted glass jars and travel tins. I love their philosophy of upcycle, reuse and re-purpose whenever possible which inspires them to curate a collection of eclectic treasures that inspires creativity and brings joy to others.
Hallmark – It’s not just the place to get your greeting cards and Keepsake Ornaments any more. Hallmark has their own line of giftables and for Mother’s Day they’ve got a charming variety of gifts from picture frames to mugs, and from jewelry to ceramic figurines that are just as special as she is. Of note: they also have items for grandma/nana and aunts too!
Don’t forget to also head over to Mom a la Mode to get the scoop on Lisa’s picks.
Now it’s your turn to share. What do you appreciate most about your mother?
