My First Cravebox: “A Taste of The Tropics”

I love trying new things and discovering great new products.  Whether it’s food, home products or clothing – if it’s something new on the market or a trial size, I usually buy it and try it out.  So when I heard about Cravebox, a monthly product discovery service that searches and selects the best products and puts them directly in the hands of its members to try and review, I signed up right away.

The box was very festive, very “A Taste Of The Tropics”

Each month I get a carefully designed themed box that is tailored to a specific topic, interest, passion or occasion. A Cravebox includes an average of five products and its contents can range from food products to household cleaners and from beauty supplies to entertainment.  It’s a great way to learn about new products just out on the market as well as established brands that I haven’t tried before.  All I pay for is a small monthly fee of $10 for shipping – and products are literally delivered right to my door!

I got my first Cravebox about two weeks ago and I’ve now had a chance to try everything in it!  Just in time to kick-off summer, this month’s box was aptly called “A Taste of the Tropics.”  Here’s what was inside:

Sunsweet Plum Amazins – These dried plumbs are a healthy way to snack.  They contain more fiber, fewer calories, no preservatives and less sugar than cranberries or raisins.  You can use them to liven up your cereal, yogurt or even a salad.  They’re also a good on-the-go snack for both kids and adults alike.

Tree Hut Coconut Lime Shea Sugar Scrub – I’m usually not a fan of scrubs.  I find that either they are either too oily, perfumey or do not contain enough grit to give my skin a good exfoliation, so the Hubs and I were pleasantly surprised with this product.  This scrub is infused with certified organic Shea butter, coconut and lime extracts and an array of natural oils such as avocado, macadamia seed and orange oil.  Whole sugar grains are combined with ground coconut shells that polishes away dead and damaged skin, leaving skin both soft and smooth.

Guylian Original Belgian Chocolate – These chocolate sea shells feature a marbled lend of white, milk or dark Belgian chocolate and filled with hazelnut.  No two shells look-alike; the marbling is unique to each piece of these chocolates. It was a bit warm out when my box was sent out to me, so my chocolates melted and weren’t 100% perfect.

Skintersection Intense Repair Cream – I’ve always had dry skin and during the summer months between the sun exposure and extreme temperatures, my heels, knees and elbows get cracked.  The Intense Repair Cream is not greasy and goes on silky smooth.  I put it on my heels at night then cover them cotton socks and when I wake up in the morning, they are fully soothed and moisturized.

Lipton Tea & Honey To Go Packets – During the summer months I live on iced tea, but it can get pretty expensive buying one, let alone two or three of them a day.  For the price of one fancy ice tea, I can get an entire box of these drink packets and have a great tasting and convenient ice tea anytime and anywhere.  Lipton Tea & Honey To Go Packets are available in six different flavors.

If I had to pick my favorite item out of this month’s Cravebox, I would have to say it’s the Tree Hut Coconut Lime Shea Sugar Scrub.  I liked it so much that I just ordered another  Tree Hut product, the Hawaiian Kukui Sugar Scrub.  I’m hoping it will evoke the spirits of my honeymoon in Maui – or at least help me get ready for a trip to the Jersey shore!

Now it’s your time to share…what’s your favorite summertime product?
