Before we decided to try this parenthood thing out with our two kidlets, we got Bailey.   Our beloved cockapoo truly is our first child and she totally prepared us for raising children.  Like any proud parent, I show Bailey off to EVERYONE. I carry her picture in my wallet and post embarrassing photos of her on Facebook.  Well, look at her, you can’t deny that she is cute.  Wait, she just not cute, she is downright adorable.  Though she’s now six years old, she still has the heart and energy of that puppy I fell in love with the moment I saw her!

So when I heard about the GUND “Top Dog” Contest, I thought it was perfect way to show off my pooch.

Remember that marketing slogan “Gotta Get A GUND?”  Well with this contest there’s a chance that you can get a plush GUND doll that will immortalize your very own four-legged friend forever and be sold as a limited edition model in gift and toy stores across the country in 2013. The contest is inspired by the popular “World’s Cutest Dog” Boo stuffed dog from the GUND line of products.

It’s easy to enter and no purchase is necessary.  First you need to take a photo of your beloved dog.  Once you’ve got your photo, login to GUND’s Facebook page and click on the contest tab to upload your photo to one or all the four contest categories:  Most Beautiful Dog, Ugliest Dog, “Doganista”/Best Dressed Dog and Dog That Most Resembles Its Owner.  The contest starts today, Monday, July 16 and runs through August 15, 2012; winners will be chosen the week of August 20th and announced the week of August 27th.

In addition to the ‘Top Dog Contest’ GUND is conducting on Facebook, they are also running a ‘Most Pinteresting Dog Contest’ on Pinterest. You post your entry on your own Pinterest pages and tag the page as @GUNDMostPinterestingDog and submit the actual link to GUND by emailing them at MostPinterestingDog@GUND.com.

The winner of the Pinterest contest will be chosen based on the number of “Likes” that their entry gets on the GUND Pinterest board. The winner of this contest will collect a selection of GUND products with a retail value of $250.
