Shopping In My PJs – A Walmart/P&G Giftcard Giveaway

The Walmart gift cards and information have been provided by P&G. All opinions though are my very own.

Ah summer. It’s definitely my favorite season of the year. I love to be outdoors, enjoying the warm weather and spending as much time with my family as possible. So why would I want to interrupt my fun in the sun to run errands at the grocery store to pick up household staples when I can have them conveniently delivered right to my doorstep?

Walmart.comWith a just a few quick clicks of my mouse on Walmart.com or taps on my phone with the Walmart Smartphone app, I can get great deals on all my household essentials and have them shipped to me for free, when I spend $50 or more.

You may not know it, but I’m a total neat and clean freak when it comes to my home.  “A place for everything and everything in its place” is my motto.  I hate dishes left in the sink at night, laundry in the hamper and the worst is dirty floors.

So when I logged onto Walmart.com I was looking to stock up on cleaning supplies.  I found loads of Proctor & Gamble (P&G) products at great, low prices.  Suddenly, I was transported to my happy neat & clean place.

It was great not having to look thru flyers to search for the best deals on items or go to the store to check if a product was available.   I was also able check out customer reviews on the items I was interested in getting before buying them.  I should also note that I did my cleaning supply shopping spree on a Friday night around 10:30 pm (I know, party animal!) while sitting in my home office in my comfy PJs.  I was shopping when I could fit it into my agenda and not on a store schedule. I could also do without having to drag two kidlets around with me who constantly ask “are you done shopping yet?”

Here’s what I wound up buying:

THM_Walmart_PG_2Tide Pods, Spring Meadow Scent, 72 count
Swiffer Bissell SteamBoost Mop Starter Kit
Swiffer Bissell SteamBoost Steampad – Open Window Fresh Scent Refills, 20 sheets
Cascade ActionPacs with Extra Bleach Action Dishwasher Detergent, 20 count
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Variety Tub, 6 count

The online ordering process was super easy, I added my items to my Shopping Cart and Checked Out with no hassle.  I immediately got an email notification of my purchase along with expected delivery dates.   Within two days of my online order I was surprised to get another email notification stating that all my items had shipped and that they would arrive earlier than they originally anticipated.  They arrived a day later!

Now I’m safely stocked on all my cleaning supplies until Fall!

The Walmart Smartphone app works pretty much the same way as the website, but it has some added bonuses that help users get the most for their money. The app’s Shopping List feature is what I like the most. You can add items to your by typing, scanning or speaking an item name. The List tallies your total, so you can budget before you actually shop.

Other app features include early access notification to both in-store and online specials;  fast & easy access on prescription refills and store mode where the app recognizes when you’re in a Walmart store and provides easy access to the weekly ad, store information, new items, Rollbacks and more.

What if you’re not in the shopping market for cleaning supplies like me? Well, there are plenty of other P&G items you at great values thru the site and app and shipped directly to you such as paper  towels, toilet paper or tissues, batteries, personal hygiene items and even baby wipes and diapers.

So do you want the chance to try and take advantage of the easy shopping options with Walmart.com, the Walmart Smartphone app or even old school, by going in store? Well, one lucky reader of The Harried Mom will win a $25 Walmart gift card courtesy of P&G.

I am going to have to look into this. I recently got a walmart card so that I could take advantage of a pool that was on clearence and using the card gave me $50 back so I got the pool for a steal. Our liner had ripped and buying the new pool was cheaper than a liner. I got excited when I saw that the gas was cheaper if I used the walmart card that if I went and used my kroger points at their gas station. Only problem is walmart is a bit of a drive compared to the kroger. I live in a rural area so everything is far. I love the idea of getting all of my stuff shipped for free if its over $50. It would be worth it for me to save up what I need for one shipment. Thanks for the heads up.

I love Walmart’s shop at home plan. I just got a brand new vacuum that was not in the store and it was over $50 off, and delivered free! How easy and convenient. Birthday presents are on my list for my nephew. He wants some video games.
