I’m Mom-ing It Forward Today With A Musical Maracas Kid Craft

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  It was beautiful here on the East Coast with sunny skies and warm weather which all tells me that Spring is finally here!

One of the first Spring celebrations is coming up later this week.  It’s Cinco de Mayo (the fifth of May) and last week I shared some fun ideas and a yummy recipe from Ingrid Hoffman for Turkey Nachos to celebrate the holiday.

images-6Well, I’m still in a fiesta mood and I’m “muy feliz” to be guest posting today at Mom It Forward with a fun and easy “Musical Maracas” kids craft.  To see me and my little senorita shake our homemade maracas,  just click on the Mom It Forward logo below – and make sure to leave me a little love there!

Old School Blogging – Marriage, Babies & Bliss Edition

At 3 pm today, spring break officially started in my house and I’ve got 10 full days of family fun ahead!  We’ve got playdtes, outdoor activities, movie marathons and even an amazing trip on the agenda!  Even The Harried Mom is taking a spring break of sorts – this week we’re loading up on reviews and giveaways of “fun things to do with kids!”

However, I’m going to start this break off by kickin’ it back old school and joining in again with a new installment of “Old School Blogging.” I really enjoy these posts because they are so entertaining read and I always learn something new about my favorite bloggers!

Very Inspiring Blogger Award

I want to thank Ellen at Bad Word Mama for nominating The Harried Mom for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award.   I had no idea awards like this existed – an award that is not based on votes and a popularity contest (I’ve never won one of those in my life!).  I’m honored by this recognition because; to me at least, it means that someone found what I’ve been doing here humorous, helpful and/or inspiring.  Talk about an ego boost!  I think this is a great encouragement for any blogger out there.

Old School Blogging

Today I’m “kicking it old school” with a new monthly meme started by the ladies behind two of my “must-read” blogs The Miss Elaine-ous Life & Theta Mom.

Old
Now, I haven’t been blogging as long as these ladies have, but I do remember the days – at least on Facebook and email – of passing lists and questionnaires around “tagging” each other and then either laughed, smiled or cried as I read my friends answers.   I always thought they were fun and I was always surprised about “new” things I would learn about my friends.

Weekend Giveaway: NetZero 4G Hotspot

If you are always on the go like myself – between commuting to and from work, chauffeuring kidlets to various play dates, running errands, watching sports practices/games or even dance class – it’s practically impossible to find a safe and reliable WiFi connection to use your smart phone or tablet devices.

NetZero MB Logo - colorSo when I was sent a NetZero 4G Hotspot to try, I was very excited!  The NetZero 4G Hotspot is a fantastic device that provides a portable, super fast and secure internet connection without the worry of public Wi-Fi hoarders, which means you can be “plugged in” wherever you go.  It can power up to eight internet enabled devices such as computers, phones and iPads all at once. The Hotspot itself is both compact and durable and has a battery life of up to 6 hours. Continue reading
