Some people are good at coping with it. I’ve asked friends how they deal with stress and I’ve gotten a range of answers. Some go the workout route – going for runs, playing tennis or even hitting a bucket of golf balls at a the driving range. Others are more introspective and write in journals, garden or knit.
I respond to stress by reaching for sweets or comfort foods – and lots of them. I love eating things like chocolate, cookies, candy, ice cream and worst of all, carbs.
Now, while these “indulgences” might be delicious, it always leads me to consuming empty calories that I regret later, especially when I look at my waistline!
