When my son was three all he ever wanted to watch was this kiddie DVD we had called “Lots and Lots of Trucks.” As the title implies, it featured all sorts of trucks that could amuse a little kid for a full 45 minutes – fire trucks, dump trucks, big rigs, construction trucks and heavy haulers, you name the type of truck it was included in this video. Out of all those trucks, my son’s favorite part was when Bigfoot came on. Who is he? I’m not talking about the big hairy Sasquatch that people (crazy ones!) claim to have either seen or captured. This Bigfoot is sort of the granddaddy of monster trucks who raced, jumped and crushed cars.
That was the start of my son’s love affair with monster trucks and how we soon discovered Monster Jam®. He’s six now, but he still loves it. He’s got a whole bin full of Hot Wheels Monster Jam trucks that he and now his four-year-old sister share and play with regularly. Some of our favorite ones to race around in crazy competitions are El Toro Loco®, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Monster Mutt, Captains Curse® and Grave Digger®.Continue reading ⇒
