My son is now at that age that he is totally into all things LEGO®. At the age of five, he’s graduated from his pre-school Duplos (which he has kindly given to his little three-year-old sis) and has moved into full-on building mode with his Hero Factory robots, villains and monsters and more recently, building his very own far, far away galaxy with LEGO® Star Wars.
The past two weeks have been totally insane at work. I have a work project that launches in less than two weeks – YIKES! I’ve been wearing my PR gal hat in writing, pitching and placing stories and literally crossing-off the days until this project kicks-off. The last thing I’ve been motivated to do when I’ve gotten home tonight – after seeing the kidlets off to bed – is sit down and write some more for my blog. I’m tired, unmotivated and a week behind in my soap opera….so my dear, kind and supportive husband Tyler — AKA @DadandMarried surprised me with this guest post. He’s a great dad and I know you’ll enjoy his guest post here today!

As loyal readers of this blog know, recently our oldest child started kindergarten.
If your kidlets love seeing animals and playing with LEGO blocks as much as mine do, then The Bronx Zoo has the perfect combination in store for you! This summer, The Bronx Zoo is taking visitors on a conservation journey through Wild Forest: A LEGO® Safari, featuring spectacular LEGO wildlife sculptures and a bunch of other great activities for the entire family.
While I was getting my 2 1/2-year-old daughter dressed for nursery school yesterday morning, she announced that she was a Super Hero. She then proceeded to march down the hall to the bathroom stark naked except for a pair of pink sunglasses and sat on the toilet. After bursting out in laughter, I managed to ask her what kind of Super Hero she was. Without skipping a beat, she told me Rockstar Super Hero. Clearly, the teenage years with her are going to be interesting!
