My family is expecting to get some exciting thrills and chills when we go to see “The Greatest Show On Earth” next week! That’s right — Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey’s new show “Built To Amaze!” is coming to the NYC area with 23 shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center from March 20 – April 1, 2013.
“Built To Amaze!’ is based on a child’s natural curiosity of how things all around us work and takes the audience through the stages of creating an actual circus. More than 110 of the world’s best performers representing 17 countries along with 95 exotic and domestic animals assembled, creating never-before-seen, heart-pounding performances.
Ringmaster and “America’s favorite cowboy” Andre McClain will take the reins and lead the entire show, accompanied by his horse Comanche. He’ll be joined by nine-time international award-winning comedic animal presenting duo Alex and Irina Emelin of Russia; the Tower Tumblers, a troupe of competitive aerial athletes from the Ukraine who launch themselves from trampolines to scale and pass through a three-story-high translucent tower plus the legendary King Charles Troupe will perform a spirited game of basketball atop unicycles!
Tickets prices are reasonable and can fit any family’s budget ranging from $20 to $160 (Circus Celebrity Seats). You can buy tickets at the Barclays box office, at ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000. For more information on shows in your specific area and ticket availability, you can visit www.Ringling.com.
P.S. — If you arrive one hour early your kids can meet some of the performers, try on costumes and even learn a circus skill or two. The pre-show activities are included with all admissions.
I’ve been told by friends who have already seen it that anything can happen during this show and expect to be delighted with surprises and non-stop thrills featuring top feats of strength, agility and courage!
I’ll have a review of the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Presents “Built To Amaze!” show after we see the show!
Now it’s your turn to share. What do you love about the circus?
Full Disclosure: I was not paid for this post, however I have received compensation in the form of tickets for my family to attend and review the show.
