Though it wasn’t even Halloween, let alone Thanksgiving, it was already beginning to look a lot like Christmas last week when these showed up in my mailbox….
But I don’t mind much because Christmas is my favorite holiday. I’m all about the spirit and feeling of the holiday –family, friends, love, laughter and happiness.
Every time this time of year rolls around, I’m transformed back into a little kid. I get so excited and I can’t wait for the celebration to begin!
I’m one of “those” people who mail their holiday cards so it arrives the day after Thanksgiving – it’s usually the first holiday card my friends and family get! I’ve also been known to start decorating the minute the turkey, stuffing and gravy leave the table. Instead of spending Black Friday shopping like millions of others, I spend the day listening to holiday music and adorning the house both inside and out with lights, Santas, nutcrackers, candles, stockings and ornaments.
As much as I love the way my home looks for the holidays, I also look forward to the many wonderful smells the holiday brings. Gingerbread cookies baking in the oven; the smell of cedar wafting from the fireplace; bowls filled with cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices & exotic spices and of course the smell of pine coming from the Christmas tree and wreath.
Well, Febreze has released a limited edition Home for the Holidays Collection which is filled with amazing scents such as Apple Tart, Toasted Almond, Frosted Pine, Sugared Cranberry and Vanilla Latte.
The #FebrezeHoliday Collection, available exclusively at Walmart, includes a range of products from scented air fresheners, to candles, from wax melts to fabric refreshers and from car vent clips to oils.
They sent me this cute little holiday house which included some of their holiday scents for me to try.
They also cleverly paired up the scents from their Home for the Holidays Collection with some fun and clever recipe, activity and home decor ideas. I love making handmade gifts for my family and friends – it puts a personal touch on the holiday. Their Gingerbread Cookies in A Jar idea is the perfect gift for any foodie on your list. I also can’t wait to try the Coffee Filter Tree and Clothespins Reindeer crafts with my kidlets.
Now it’s your turn to share. What’s the first decoration you put up for the holidays?
